CHED SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM (TULONG-DUNONG PROGRAM)

CHED Scholarship 2021- StuFAPs / Tulong-Dunong Program aims to provide financial assistance to students who are enrolled in authorized Public or Private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). This helps to ensure that education shall be accessible to all especially to underprivileged and deserving students. Qualified beneficiaries shall enroll or must be currently enrolled in any CHED priority courses as per CMO No 10 Series of 2021. Click here to view National and Regional Priority courses. 

A total of 2, 420 new and continuing grantees from the 2nd District of Ilocos Sur enjoy the benefits of scholarship allowances up to 7,500 pesos per semester through the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

CONGRESSMAN ERIC D. SINGSON SCHOLARSHIP GRANT (CEDSSG)

The Congressman Eric D. Singson Scholarship Grant or CEDSSG, is a program that caters poor but deserving college students from the 2nd District of Ilocos Sur. This was initiated by then Congresman Eric D. Singson during his first term as Representative of the 2nd Legislative District of the Province.

A total of 1.5 million out of the unexpended funds of the Selective Ethnic Group Educational Assistance Program, or SEGEAP, was utilized to finance the college education of 150 grantees from the Indigenous Cultural Communities effective School Year 1990-1991.

The number of slots increased per school year as the Program Sponsor correspondingly inserted into the budget of the then Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS). Then later on to the ONCC now NCIP.

To date, the amount of 9.2 million is included in the yearly budget with a total of 795 grantees receiving 5,000 pesos per semester.

Requirements:
1. Scholarship Requirements (Neatly filed in a long white folder).
 Scholarship Application Documents (1 Original & 2 Photocopies)
 Duly filled-up Scholarship Application Form with 2×2 ID Picture
 Certified True Copy of Birth Certificate
 Certified Photocopy of Good Moral Character from School Principal/Guidance Counselor
 Certified Photocopy of High School Card, or DepEd Form 138-A (for High School Graduate), or Certificate of Final Grades with School Seal and Signature of School Registrar for the last semester attended (College Students)
 Certificate of Indigency & Residency issued by the Barangay Captain
 Recommendation from the Municipal/City Mayor
 Certificate of Confirmation(COC) on Tribal Membership (CEDSSG Applicants ONLY)
2. Scholarship Claim Documents (Strictly 1 Original AND 2 Photocopies Each)
3. Certificate of Final Grades (Last Semester attended)
4. Certificate of Enrollment and Billing, or Enrollment/Registration Form – For the incoming semester.
